The Death and Life of Hunter Colonel
"Hunters...if you can hear me...get the **** outta here!"
It was unlike Brigham to curse....must be serious. The Hunters switched into automatic and exited the building...and then it happened....the mental link between the team was severed. "God!" was all Hunter Foxtrot could muster. Hunter Alpha, brash as he was, assumed command. When Echo showed up the battle was already over.
Colonel's lifeless body was laying there...
"It looks like the 5th column lived up to their threat...this is what Colonel would've wanted...we couldn't turn over the plans." Hunter Medic said...still checking for a sign of life, knowing full well their leader was gone.
"Senseless death...he wouldn't have wanted it this way..." Hunter Echo said.
"What was that **** he always said about a true psi talent not being able to be killed, but able to die?" Captain said.

"Wha? I.....they ...that wasn't quite what I expected...sharp pain then nothing....weird....WTF?!?!?"
Brigham woke to discover that he was in a lab in a body that didn't tune with his psyche abilities well.....
"son of a ... they actually did it..."
"Colonel Brigham! you are obviously disoriented....failsafe alpha has been enacted" Hunter General responded

"so let me get this straight...you cloned my body....knowing that I would psyche jump to my own dna as a default as opposed to the nearest body? I thought you didn't believe in all that psyche stuff?"
"I didn't...I thought you were dead...you were out for 2 weeks....you opened your eyes and started barking orders...figured it had to be you"
"well that's good...I thought I woulda ended up speaking german for the rest of my life"
"where's my team?"
"mourning...do you want to catch up to them?"
"nah...got something better in mind"

"The Hunters haven't been assigned anything in 2 weeks. I guess they are letting us mourn...wish I could just rip into someone!" Hunter Alpha said
Hunter's assemble and meet in Dark Astoria....
That must be Hunter General...he is the only psi left capable of sending messages throuh telepathing link....
The Hunters scramble to DA....as a shadowy figure comes from out of the darkness...
The attack didn't last long..
"sleep..." the figure said...
"I left you awake for a purpose Echo..." "What the...who are you? get out of my mind!"
"I am the last person you'd expect, soldier!"
"Colonel! What the?"
"Yeah bro...it's me....I am in a bind here....I am in a cloned body and my psyche powers are all over the place...I am more powerful...but I can't control it..."
